- Project for village agroforestry field schools in market gardens in three Niességa villages in the Zondoma (a northern region 140 km from Ouagadougou), in partnership with ARFA http://www.ongarfa.org
Beneficiaries: three groups of growers from the three villages.
Expected outcome: defensive hedges and windbreaks around the fields, self-pollinating trees and fodder trees planted in open fields, fruit trees and moringa olifeira planted in rows of the self-pollinating trees.
Activities: raising awareness of environmental issues, training nursery growers, planting hedges and self-pollinating trees, developing and producing a repellent against stray cattle (monitoring, evaluation and funding: 1) vegetable production, 2) annex productions (fodder, wood, other products from these trees), 3) producers’ income, and 4) soil properties).

Beneficiaries: a group of six “great family farmers.”
Expected outcomes: hedges surrounding the fields, self-pollinating and fodder trees planted in open fields, fruit trees planted between rows.
Activities: planting hedges and trees, developing and producing a repellent against stray cattle, monitoring and evaluation.
